After saving a boy from jumping off the roof of Shinhwa High School, she is admitted into the school on a swimming scholarship. Jan Di tries to avoid confrontation with the F4 at all cost because she knows what happens to those that stand against them. However, when Jan Di's friend, Oh Min Ji, accidentally gets ice cream on the leader of the F4's shoes, she's forced to declare war on the leader of the F4, Goo Joon Pyo, resulting in her getting a red card, making her subject to the entire school body's torture. Eventually, Jun Pyo becomes drawn to Jan Di. Unfortunately, Jan Di hates Jun Pyo, and is instead drawn to Yoon Ji Hoo, the soft, silent F4 member who is always there to help her when Jun Pyo humiliates her. When Ji Hoo leaves for France to pursue Min Seo Hyun, his first love, on Jan Di's pleading, things take a turn for the worse because she doesn't have her saviour to come and save her. Instead, she has Jun Pyo, the cause of all her troubles. He helps her this time, and she becomes a friend of F4 and Jun Pyo's girlfriend. Just when she is announced as Jun Pyo's girlfriend, Ji Hoo shows up, saying he's come back from France. Who will Jan Di choose? Jun Pyo and Jan Di Edit

She is the only one who is strong enough to stand up against Jun Pyo after he attempts to humiliate Min Ji, Jan Di's only friend at the school. Jun Pyo then puts a red card in Jan Di's locker which indicated that she was a victim of the F4. After continuous bullying, Jan Di still won't bow down to him. whole time are the memories she have with Jun Pyo. That's how she realizes that she is indeed starting to fall for him (Jun Pyo). But because Ji Hoo is such a loyal friend to Jun Pyo, when he realized that his friend is still very much inlove with Jan Di, he decided to back off and decided to do a prank on Jun Pyo to finally admit that he is very much inlove with Jan Di. The prank works and Jun Pyo finally admits to everyone his true feelings for Jan Di. Because of that, Jun Pyo persists in showing Jan Di his affections. As their relationship becomes official, Jun Pyo's mother became an obstacle. She does everything possible to prevent Jun Pyo from being with Jan Di, as she believes that her son, Goo Jun Pyo shouldn't be dating a commoner. In the end, Jan Di and Jun Pyo's love wins out, and she accepts his proposal.
Ji Hoo and Geum Jan Di Edit
In the beginning, Jan Di develops a crush on Ji Hoo. The first time Ji Hoo helps her was when she was being bullied and he was the only one to do so. Jan Di persuades Ji Hoo to go to France to follow Seo Hyun, his love interest, despite her regretting to do so. When Ji Hoo returns from France he discovers that he has feelings for Jan Di. Ji Hoo attempts to confess numerous times, one of which Jan Di falls asleep within, the second time she does not hear him and lastly he gives his mother's ring to her. Yet, Jan Di refuses because no matter how hard she tries she foolishly cannot forget Jun Pyo. Upon realizing that he cannot have Jan Di, he stays by her side to protect her whenever she needs his help.
Yi Jung and Ga Eul Edit
Ga Eul is Jan Di's best friend since kindergarten. Ga Eul initially thinks of Yi Jung as a guy with "handsome face" who only plays with girls. Later she starts developing romantic feelings for Yi Jung after he helps her get over her boyfriend who just played with her. She realizes that inside Yi Jung is a pure and lovely person. In order to get Jan Di and Jun Pyo together, Yi Jung takes Ga Eul on a fake date. On Valentine's Day, she even makes a present for him to express her gratitude. At first, it's obvious that Yi Jung only thinks of her as a good friend when he says he doesn't like girls that are "nice, idiotic, or involved with his friend". Yet, since Ga Eul helps him through his self-destruction, Yi Jung finds out that Ga Eul, not Eun Jae (his prior love-interest) has always been by his side. He eventually shows some feelings towards her, especially when he promises to visit her first when he returns from Sweden.
Jun Pyo and Yoo Mi Edit
Yoo Mi is the girl that Jun Pyo thought was Jan Di aafter he lost all his memories of her. She is reluctant to lie, but ends up doing so in order to stay by Jun Pyo's side. At the party where she announces that she and Jun Pyo are going to the United States, Jan Di purposely falls into the pool to try and reawaken Jun Pyo's memories of her. Jan Di succeeds, and Yoo Mi is shown walking off and is never seen again.
